A BOY has been taken to hospital after a collision with a car in Colchester.
A police cordon was in place near Eagle Drive, off Roberts Road, Colchester, where the incident took place shortly before 3.30pm.
Police have told the Gazette the boy has been taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.
At this stage they are not believed to be life-threatening or lifechanging.
Police confirmed no arrests have been made and the road has now reopened.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to a collision between a car and a boy which took place shortly before 3.30pm today, Thursday, February 10.
“The boy was taken to hospital for treatment his injuries. At this stage they are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
“No arrests have been made."

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman added: “We were called to the junction of Military Road and Roberts Road just before 3.30pm today following reports that a child had been hit by a car.
"An ambulance, operations manager and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
"The patient was transported by land to Colchester Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
