A MAN suffered a broken nose during a fight in Harwich.

Police were called to reports of an altercation in Church Street shortly before 12.30am on Saturday.

Four people were arrested following the incident, described as a "disturbance" by Essex Police.

"Officers were called to Church Street to reports of a fight," a spokesman said.

"A man is believed to have suffered a broken nose.

"We need anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage to contact us."

Four men, aged 53, 26, 25 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder following the incident.

The men, all from Harwich, have been released on police bail until March 5.

A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said paramedics were sent to the scene.

"We were called but were not required to take anyone to hospital," she said.
