A WOMAN who broke a 70mph speed limit has been handed three penalty points.
Sarah Taylor, 47, of Woodrow Way, Colchester, was caught travelling at 86mph on the A1 in Lincolnshire on June 11 last year.
Taylor admitted the offence and it was dealt with via the single justice procedure at Boston Magistrates’ Court on January 26.
This means defendants in a case do not need to attend and the case is decided by a magistrate.
Taylor was handed three penalty points and fined £40.
She was also ordered to pay a £34 victim services fund and £90 costs.
Magistrates said Taylor’s plea was taken into consideration when imposing sentence.
