A MAN who made threats to blow up a flat has been jailed after breaching a suspended sentence imposed for an offence of money laundering.

Rocky Redford, 37, made the threat in Colchester on December 29 last year.

Across that day, he also made a threatening telephone call to the same victim and threatened to kill another.

He also assaulted a police officer and damaged a police holding cell to the value of £100.

Redford, of Marsh Crescent, Rowhedge, Colchester, admitted criminal damage, assaulting an emergency worker, sending a communication conveying a threatening message, threatening to destroy property, making a threat to kill.

He also admitted breaching a suspended sentence order imposed by Chelmsford Crown Court on November 12 last year for an offence of money laundering.

Appearing at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on January 21, he was sentenced to ten weeks imprisonment.

He must pay £100 in compensation to Essex Police and will remain the subject of a restraining order banning contact with the victim he threatened to kill.
