COLCHESTER United have completed the transfer deadline day signing of goalkeeper Sam Hornby on loan from League Two rivals Bradford City.
The 26-year-old has joined the U's on loan until the end of the season.
Hornby, who started his career at Burton Albion, has made nine appearances for Bradford so far this season.
Delighted to join @ColU_Official for the remainder of the season, really looking forward to it!!!

He helped them keep a clean sheet against Colchester in the 0-0 draw between the two sides, back in December.
Hornby turned professional at Burton and has also played for Port Vale and the likes of Kidderminster Harriers and Chester City on loan before joining Bradford in the summer of 2019.
All the best to the lads @officialbantams for the reminder of the season 👊🏻👊🏻

Colchester were keen to bring in goalkeeper cover following Shamal George's red card and suspension, Dean Gerken's injury issues and Ted Collins' inexperience, along with Jake Turner returning to Newcastle United.
Hornby becomes the U's eighth signing so far, in this month's window.
He follows John Akinde, Tom Dallison, Cameron Coxe, Corie Andrews, Emyr Huws, Owura Edwards and Myles Kenlock in joining the U's, in January.
Colchester could add at least one more new face before the window slams shut, at 11pm.
