A man who broke a 50mph speed limit has been handed a £150 fine.
Paul Scott, 51, of Poplar Close, Great Yeldham, was caught travelling above a temporary 50mph limit on the A1 on October 8.
He was travelling at 62mph.
The case was dealt with via the single justice procedure at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on January 17.
This means the defendants do not have to appear in court.
Scott was handed three penalty points but avoided a totting disqualification for family reasons.
He was also fined £150 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
Magistrates said his plea was taken into consideration with sentencing.
