A drink driver has been banned from driving for three years and ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work.

Abdul Muhith, 24, of High Street, Kelvedon, was found to have 106 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood when he was stopped in Lower Thames Street in London on September 25.

The legal limit is 80.

Muhith admitted the offence when he appeared at Westmintser Magistrates’ Court on January 20.

He was disqualified from driving for three years and made subject of a community order with 100 hours unpaid work.

He must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a £95 victim services surcharge.

Magistrates said they had taken Muhith’s plea into account when sentencing.
