A MAN has been handed ten penalty points after being found in charge of a motor vehicle while over the drink drive limit.
Mark Everitt, 34, of Keyside Drive, Colchester, admitted the charge when he appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on January 21.
The court heard Everitt was found to have 118 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of urine above the limit of 107 limit.
Everitt was found sitting in the drivers seat of a Tesla with a mobile phone capable of starting the vehicle in a Premier Inn car park in Allington on July 25.
He was subsequently charged with being in charge of a motor vehicle while over the drink drive limit.
At court he was handed ten penalty points, fined £107 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
