A CHARITY is spreading the love as it prepares to open a new shop on Valentine’s Day.
St Helena Hospice will be opening its new charity shop, at 80 Magdalen Street, Colchester, which will specialise in second-hand furniture and home furnishings including sofas, desks, tables and outdoor furniture.
The hospice’s head of retail Ian Daniels said: “We’re excited to open Magdalen Street Furniture – the latest addition to our charity shop offerings in north east Essex.
“We have been working hard over the last few months to transform the fantastic space into an excellent shop for our community.”
The charity is currently recruiting new volunteer retail assistants to help with the day-to-day running of the new shop.
Any time volunteers can offer, from as little as a couple of hours once a week, or several hours more often, will benefit the charity.
For more information about volunteering, contact St Helena Hospice by emailing volunteer@sthelena.org.uk or visit sthelena.org.uk/volunteer.
St Helena Hospice’s Magdalen Street Furniture will be opening on Monday, February 14.
