Two men have appeared in court and admitted getting behind the wheel despite being banned from driving.
Khairul Hassan, 41, of Foresight Road, Colchester, was charged with driving while disqualified and driving without insurance in Colchester on December 1.
He admitted both offences at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on January 5.
Hassan was handed a 16 month driving ban and ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work.
He must also pay a £95 victim services fund and £105 prosecution costs.

Damian Taylor, 32, of Kendall Road, was handed a 40 month driving ban after getting behind the wheel while banned.
Taylor was charged with driving on Lexden Road on November 20 while disqualified from holding a licence.
He admitted the offence on January 5 at Colchester Magistrates’ Court and was given a 40 month ban.
Taylor must also complete 100 hours unpaid work.
He also admitted driving in Trafalgar Road in London on November 18 while disqualified and with no insurance.
Magistrates’ ordered him to pay a £95 victim services fund and £95 prosecution costs.
