A WELL-KNOWN musician who has shared stages with the likes of Liam and Noel Gallagher during his stint in Oasis is set to play in Colchester.
Andy Bell, who is one of the founding members of revered band Ride, will perform at Three Wise Monkeys on January 31 for the launch of Independent Venue Week.
His show, entitled Space Station, was born during the 2020 lockdowns when the musician started a residency at a coffee shop called Lo-Fi in north London.
Andy, who has performed with Pink Floyd, then started streaming the gigs, playing guitar along with reworked versions of backing tracks from his musical projects.
The music that makes up his Space Station setlist comes from Andy’s solo material, which he releases under the GLOK guise, in additional unreleased material.
The backing tracks on the other hand are deconstructed and extended in a way that makes them easier for Andy to improvise over.
Andy Bell’s Space Station show, which is only for over 18s, will take place from 8pm with tickets costing £6 in advance or £8 on the door.
