NINE people have been charged after number of warrants were carried out in Colchester yesterday morning.

Officers from a number of teams across Essex Police executed ten warrants in the town yesterday morning as part of an operation to tackle drug-driven violent incidents.

Adam Stephenson, 20, of St Leonard’s Road, in Colchester has been charged with supplying a Class A drug, possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.

He is due to appear in Colchester Magistrates’ Court today.

Karlin Cavill, 24, of Old Road, Clacton, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and acquiring, using or possession criminal property.

Nigel Parkes, 55, of Layer Road, in Abberton, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

He is due to appear in Colchester Magistrates’ Court on January 13.

John Stone, 38, of Clacton Road, St Osyth, has been charged with offering to supply cocaine and possession of a Class A drug.

He is due to appear in Colchester Magistrates’ Court on January 13.

Buster Suggate, 19, of Gladiator Way, in Colchester has been charged with three counts of supplying a Class A drug.

He is due to appear in Colchester Magistrates’ Court on January 13.

Sian-leigh McDonald, 26, of Gazelle Court, in Colchester, has been charged with one count of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

She is due to appear in Colchester Magistrates’ Court on January 13, Stuart Edwards, 34, of Gazelle Court, in Colchester, has been charged with four counts of supplying a Class A drug and one count of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

He is due to appear in Colchester Magistrates’ Court on January 12.

A 52-year-old woman from Colchester who was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug has been released under investigation.

The charges come as two men were charged in connection with a violent incident in Colchester in September.

During the incident, a man was seriously assaulted outside the Leather Bottle pub, in Shrub End, Road on Thursday 9 September.

Stephen Ford, 31, of Monkwick Avenue, Colchester, and Jake Goodspeed, 24, also of Monkwick Avenue, have been jointly charged with wounding in relation to the incident.
