BUDDING filmmakers and actors are being encouraged to attend an event in Colchester where they can make industry connections while enjoying tasty canapés.
Signals and the Essex Film Collective have partnered up to co-host a networking event at the Signals Media Arts Centre, in Victoria Chambers, St Runwald Street.
The get-together will boast experienced speakers, short film screenings, drinks and nibbles, and the chance to build relationships with like-minded individuals.
The event, taking place on December 16, is aimed at everyone from local filmmakers and actors to film financiers and marketing specialists.
Scriptwriters and production personnel are also invited to attend the pre-Christmas movie meet-up, at which they can look to explore ways of making their vision a reality.
Speaking about the event a Signals spokesman said: “This is the perfect time and place to discuss all your current and future projects with a drink in hand and some great company.
“Why wait until January to start hitting those career goals? Get yourself out there and make the most of 2021.”
Tickets for the networking event, which runs from 7pm until 10pm, cost £5 and can be purchased by visiting eventbrite.co.uk.
