HUNDREDS of community members came together to take part in the annual Halstead torchlight procession.
The procession has been a popular event in previous years in the town, with hundreds of people coming for decades.
The procession was axed last year due to covid.
Many members of the community and surrounding areas were eager to come again this year.
This year, starting at the top of the High Street, those taking part held flaming torches, lights and glowsticks as they made their way around the town.
Following a blessing of the crib around the Christmas Tree at Market Hill, the procession walked down the High Street.
Then they made their way to Bridge Street and Trinity Street before arriving at the Halstead public gardens.
Here there was the town’s annual carol service, to which many enjoyed and got involved with.
Collections were also taken for the mayor’s charity.
