Petrol prices are higher than ever, but not every petrol station is changing their prices.
Following our round-up last week, a handful of petrol stations have upped the price slightly, but the cheapest petrol stations in Colchester have, mercifully, kept their prices stagnant.
With that in mind, take a look at our list of the cheapest and priciest pumps to fill up in and around Colchester.
1st - Sainsbury’s Stanway (CO3 8AA) and Esso, Peartree Road (CO3 5JX) – 143.9p per litre
Conveniently located by Tollgate retail park, these garages have kept their prices the same as last week. A 60-litre tank will cost you £86.34.
3rd - Asda, Turner Road (CO4 5TU) – 145.7p per litre
Asda is well-known for its cheap groceries, and its petrol is affordable too. You will pay £87.42 for a 60-litre tank of petrol here.
4th - BP, London Road– 146.9p per litre and (CO3 0NR) and Texaco, Mersea Road (CO2 7EU)
These two petrol stations will see your receipt come in at £88.14 if you fill up a full 60-litre tank – a slight increase on their prices last week.
6th - Texaco, Shrub End (CO3 4SA) – 146p per litre
Prices gradually creep up at certain petrol stations, with this Texaco costing you £87.60 for a full tank.
7th - Tesco, Greenstead Road (CO1 2TE) – 147.9p per litre
7th - Tesco Extra, Highwoods (CO4 9ED) – 147.9p per litre
Tesco has the highest prices out of Colchester’s supermarket chains, with a 60-litre tank costing you £88.74 at the petrol stations in Highwoods and Greenstead.
9th - Esso, Bergholt Road (CO4 5AJ) and BP, Mersea Road (CO2 8PU) – 148.9p per litre
These two petrol stations will see your receipt pass the £89 mark, with a 60-litre tank costing £89.34.
10th - BP, Ipswich Road (CO4 0EU) – 149.9p per litre
This BP garage on the popular commuting route of Ipswich Road is comfortably the most expensive place to fill up on petrol. You will be close to £90 for a full 60-litre tank here, which will cost you £89.94, though this is no increase on last week’s price at this garage.
