A CHRISTMAS-MAD mum has spared no expense to make the festive season special after decking her house out in £35,000 of Christmas decorations.

Joanne Smith, 40, from Sible Hedingham, also decorates her house for Easter and Halloween.

Joanne is a property developer and owns a business with her husband.

She has spent a whopping £35,000 on the decorations over the years including spending around £6,000 on this year’s festivities.

She said: “We have been doing it for about five years now and have become very well-known in the village with every year getting bigger and bigger.

She has also bought 100 advent calendars to give out to children passing by at the end of November.

She said: “I know not everyone is in the position to buy sweets for their children.

“I just like giving back, especially since Christmas should be a great time for everyone.”
