ZOO calendars are up for sale in an effort to raise money for the popular attraction.

Web developer Steven Hardy, 29, has created a Colchester Zoo Calendar for 2022, in order to raise money for the zoo.

As an avid animal photography-lover and zoo gold pass member, Steven regularly takes photos of the animals.

Now he is bringing out a themed calendar for next year, with all the profits going straight to place he loves so much.

Mr Hardy’s new project follows a previous one he did in 2020.

With Colchester Zoo threatened with closure due to lockdown, Steven wanted to help in any way he could.

He said: “As a hobby photographer and a lover of the zoo, I thought I couldn’t make this happen. Tthe zoo has been part of my life since a young age and now my children’s life too.

“I decided that I could create a calendar for the zoo and donate all the profits to them.”

Steven raised £2,500 for the zoo’s emergency fund and sold more than 300 calendars.

Following the positive feedback of the previous calendar, Steven decided to do it again for 2022.

Sales are open until Friday, November 5 and can be purchased here.
