AN air ambulance was deployed to a small island town to help medics treat a women who had suffered a concerning fall.
The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance crew landed in West Mersea on Friday to support paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service.
The two teams worked together at the scene in a bid to optimise the outcome of a female patient who had fallen.
She was eventually transferred to a hospital’s emergency department where she received ongoing treatment.
