A NURSERY opened its doors to a special visitor as Colchester’s MP dropped by to see the great work going on inside.
Sunhill Day Nursery, which is based at Braiswick Primary School’s grounds, invited Will Quince to the nursery following his appointment as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Children and Families.
He met with a number of the staff, who shared with him the challenges being faced by children, staff and families in the early years sector.
They also had the chance to give their suggestions as to what they felt was needed to shape the future of early years.

To congratulate Mr Quince on his new role and to welcome him into the new position, the children used their expressive arts and creativity to make him a card.
The MP said: “It was an absolute pleasure to visit Sunhill Day Nursery; to meet with the fantastic staff members and to see the children having the best time getting involved with all of the different activities the nursery has on offer for them.”
