A HOSPITAL has submitted plans to install new sliding doors to provide a “better environment” for patients undergoing chemotherapy.
The Oaks Hospital, in Oaks Place, Mile End, applied for permission to install three new glazed external French/sliding patio doors.
If approved, they will be placed in existing window openings to enhance the view and daylight potential into new chemotherapy treatment rooms.
In a statement, the hospital bosses said: “These new glazed doors are required to enhance the environment within these chemo treatment rooms to make their [patients’] procedure as comfortable as possible.”
