AN ASPIRING young resident will be launching her own mobile food service.
Amy Roberts, 21, of Harwich, will be offering a number of mouth-watering snacks from her burger van in Station Road, Dovercourt.
The official opening of Amys takes place next Monday, but the business is already proving to be a success.
The young lady managed to get 5 stars for food standard and is feeling optimistic about the future.
She has also been working in the food industry for four years and is hoping to put her experience to good use.
She added: “I worked in a burger van for 4 years. I did a little bit of cooking, making drinks.
“Then the opportunity came up to go for it myself.
“Food is always going to be around.
“At the moment it is going to be hot food only and we will eventually go for cold food.”
Some of the foods residents can find on Amy’s menu include sausage rolls, bacon rolls, cheeseburgers and a selection of cold and hot drinks.
Everyone with a sweet tooth will also be able to enjoy a variety of chocolate bars and crisps.
