A COMMUNITY group has raised thousands of pounds for a charity dedicated to helping children through a variety of different projects.
The Rotary Club of Clacton Jubilee was unable to use its usual methods of fundraising through the spring and summer due to the pandemic.
Instead, the group launched an online campaign in aid of Homestart – an organisation which aims to help and support local children in a variety of different ways.
In total the appeal raised an impressive £2,220 which will be used to help fund several of the charity’s forthcoming projects.
During The Rotary Club of Clacton Jubilee’s recent meeting a cheque was presented to the charity by president Neil Marshall and fundraising officer Rick Hale.
