BUSINESS is blooming for a successful florist who has opened her first shop in Tiptree.

Lauren Gage, 34, who is the owner of Flowers With Love, has been working from a studio in her mum’s garden for the past 15 months.

But as business began to take off, the florist has been able to open her first shop at Tom’s Farm Shop in Maldon Road.

Her mum and stepdad had helped her with the construction of the shop in the weeks before Lauren invited customers to the launch day.

To add to the occasion, she also handed out free drinks, goody bags, and gave 10 per cent off to any orders placed.

Customers could also enter into a raffle for prizes.

The winner received afternoon tea for two from the White Butterfly Cake Studio in Tiptree and a £50 Flowers With Love gift voucher.

Thanks to the success of the venture, Lauren was also able to take on her first member of staff, Molly, who is now following in her footsteps and studying at Writtle College.

Lauren said she is thrilled to finally open her first shop and says it’s been a success already.

She said: “It feels amazing. I’m honestly so happy.

“It took a little while to get set up, but I’ve had so much support from my mum and stepdad, my apprentice Molly, and the people at Tom’s Farm.

“And I’ve had so many new people coming to me, it’s been amazing.”

The shop is open six days a week.
