THE owner of a newly-refurbished bar which features a vintage car inside has said he wants the venue to be a landmark in the community.
Robert Beke, who runs Roberts Café, Bar and Restaurant, in High Street, Dovercourt, is now looking forward to sharing his plans.
The bar will now remain open for late night revellers until 1.30am on Fridays and Saturdays, while drinks and lunch are available.
Mr Beke, 33, said the set-up had been “challenging”.
“We are excited to be a part of this town and to build a strong sense of community,” he said.

“We want to provide our unique recipes for the families and all the people from around here while creating new opportunities.
“Our vision to expand into a restaurant and bar was made in the hope we can become a transformative landmark.
“This is the perfect venue to execute an amazing hospitality concept.
“The set-up was a bit challenging for us as we came up with an idea to introduce a Rover from 1964 inside our restaurant for customers to dine alongside which we are proud of.”
“Soon we will also be adding Indian food to our menu.”
