RESIDENTS living in a pothole-ridden road have been gifted new car tyres by a motoring retailer in celebration of its relaunch.
Halfords Colchester has presented several homeowners in Magnolia Drive, Colchester, with sets of fancy new wheels.
The problematic road is infamous for its deep potholes, so the Brook Street autocentre sent out an expert to replace their damaged tyres.
The generous act has helped to mark the relaunch of Halfords' Cowdray Avenue store and the Halfords Autocentre following refurbishments.
To celebrate the reopening Halfords has now promised to give away £12,000 worth of services and products to people living in Colchester.

The initiative will also see everything from free MOTs and 10-point checks to £25 bike vouchers and tyre changes put up for grabs, totalling 25-days’ worth of free work.
The giveaway, operating on a first come first serve basis, will be open from 10am on Friday September 3 to 10am Friday September 17, while stocks last.
Residents can sign up to benefit from the pledge by visiting halfords.com/keepingcolchestermoving.
