THE mother of a little five-year-old boy who tragically died after sustaining fatal injuries during an incident at a High Street department store has thanked the community of Colchester for their support.

Freddie Farrow died six days after a mirror fell on him in Fenwick, in Colchester High Street.

His family have now announced the funeral for the Gosbecks Primary School pupil will take place at Colchester Crematorium and Cemetery in Mersea Road from 10.30am on Friday.

His mum Natasha Ingham said has been so touched by the outpouring of support from the Colchester community and has said anyone who would like to pay their respects to Freddie is welcome to line the footpaths on Mersea Road between Bourne Road and the entrance to the crematorium.

She has politely asked for privacy during the service which is strictly invitation only.

Miss Ingham said: “Losing Freddie is something I will never get over but the support our family has received from across the town has been such a source of comfort for us.

“We also know many people have contributed to a fundraising page in Freddie’s memory and if anyone would like to pay their respects to him, we would welcome people doing so in Mersea Road, outside Colchester Crematorium.”

She added: “I would like to say thank you to everyone in Colchester for the support over the last month which has undoubtedly been the hardest of my life.”
