A second man has been arrested in connection with a fight in Colchester that left a man fighting for his life.
Essex Police confirmed the arrest in a tweet this evening in which they appealed for more witnesses to come forward.
They wrote: “A second man was arrested this afternoon in connection with this assault.
“We're continuing our enquiries into the incident and witnesses who have yet to come forward are asked to contact us at https://essex.police.uk or call 101.”
A spokesman has confirmed the second man arrested is aged 19 and from Colchester.

Officers were called to St Botolph’s Street earlier this morning amid reports a had broken out.
A man, aged 20 and from West Bergholt, was arrested at the scene while a man in his 40s was rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries.
The two men in custody have both been arrested on suspicion of causing greivous bodily harm with intent.
