As a result of a disruption, however, reportedly caused by some passengers, the service will now no longer stop at Colchester town station.
The nature of the incident remains unknown, but no more services will be disrupted.
A spokeswoman for Greater Anglia said: "Anyone who has been delayed for more than 15 minutes can claim delay repay at greateranglia.co.uk/delayrepay."
