A BUSY Colchester road will be closing when work is carried out by Anglian Water.

Berechurch Road is shutting from its junction with Brittania Mews on September 8 and 9.

It is while pipe repair works are carried out, but an alternative route is available via Berechurch Road, Berechurch Hall Road and Mersea Road.

* Anglian Water is also planning work in Aldham.

Brook Road is closing from its junction with Rectory Road for three days from September 8.

This time it is because of new connection works.

* Look out for the closure of a road in Frinton Road, Kirby Cross.

It will be shutting from its junctions with Holland Road and Halstead Road, because of work being carried out by MDS Civil Engineering.

The closure is due to come into effect on September 6 for four nights (7.30pm until 6am) and again on November 23 for 11 nights (7.30pm until 6am).

* Drivers should make note of a road closure in London Road, Great Horkesley.

The road will be closing on September 12 while work is carried out by Anglian Water.

* Newbridge Hill, in West Bergholt, is set to close for a day because of work being carried out by Openreach.

It will shut on September 8.

* On the same day, September 8, Slade Road, in Holland-on-Sea, is closing from its junction with Windermere Road.

This is because of work being carried out by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available to drivers via Slade Road, Windermere Road, Brentwood Road and Ipswich Road.

* Look out for a road closure coming up later this month in Ardleigh.

Bromley Road, from its junction with Longridge, will be shutting on Monday, August 23, while overhead cabling works are carried out by Openreach.

* Openreach is also planning underground cabling work in West Bergholt.

It means Bures Road will close from its junction with Coney Byes Lane on Sunday, August 22.

* Meanwhile, Openreach workers will be working in Peldon on Thursday, August 26.

As a result, Church Road will be shutting from its junction with St Ives Road.

It is while pole testing works are carried out.

An alternative route is available for motorists via Church Road, Lower Road and St Ives Road.

* Colchester Road, in Mount Bures, is set to close for three days on Monday, August 23, from its junctions with Old Barn Road and Peartree Hill.

It is while carriageway patching works are carried out.
