A MAN who exchanged telephone numbers with two children before messaging them on social media acted in breach of a court order.

Dontae Justin, 22, contacted two girls in Colchester town centre in October 2019, in breach of a sexual risk order.

Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard the two girls were walking in Colchester when Justin waved at them. He then exchanged telephone numbers with them before messaging them on social media platform Snapchat.

Rima Begum, prosecuting, said one victim’s father spoke to Justin, who said he wasn’t an adult and claimed he “goes to school”.

Justin, of Goodmayes Avenue, Ilford, admitted two breaches of a sexual risk order.

The offences pre-date Justin’s conviction in August 2020 for breaching the same order.

This previous conviction arose out of Justin attending Colchester police station in November 2019.

He told officers he had a new phone and had erased the data on his old mobile before selling it.

In August last year, Justin was hit with a 36-month community order for this offence.

A five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order was also put in place.

He will be sentenced for the latest breach at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday, August 31.
