EMERGENCY services rushed to a busy road in Colchester on Tuesday after an incident at a property.

At least four ambulances and two fire engines were called to Old Heath Road at about 8.25pm.

Essex Police vehicles were also called to the scene.

The exact nature of the incident is not known.

A spokesman for Essex Fire Service said: "Firefighters from Colchester we were called by the ambulance service at 8.26pm to assist paramedics in Old Heath Road, Colchester.

"They left the casualty in the care of the ambulance service at 9.34pm."

The East of England Ambulance Service said it could not comment as it was an incident at a private address.

Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
