During a search by the dog unit and officers, a quantity of drugs, drug paraphernalia, a number of electrical items, phones and cash were seized as part of our investigation.

Two air rifles were also discovered which are being examined.

As a result, a 26-year old man from Dovercourt was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

He remained in custody for questioning yesterday evening.

Simon Potter, of Harwich CPT, which led the operation, said: “Yesterday morning’s operation is part of our promise to tackle drug dealing across Tendring.

“We have consistently said drugs are not welcome in our communities and you can be sure yesterday morning’s operation is just one of a number of ongoing investigations into the supply of drugs in Tendring.

“Our message to anyone who thinks they can supply drugs in our communities is: ‘We will catch you and you will be punished’.”

A video shared by Essex Police shows the officers breaking down the door of one of the properties before entering with shouts urging those inside to remain where they are.

It also pictures the sniffer dog patrolling the inside of the property before the illegal items were discovered.
