MORE than 200 classic motors will be revving their way to Colchester Castle Park for the return of a charity fundraiser.

Headway Essex is gearing up for the return of the Essex Classic Vehicle Show this year after its cancellation in 2020 due to coronavirus.

The charity is promising 2021’s display will be the biggest yet, with 230 classic vehicle owners already having registered to take part.

Seven decades of motoring history will be showcased at the event, with the oldest vehicles dating back to the 1930s.

As well as the classic cars, they’ll be a range of food and craft stalls and lots to keep the kids entertained. This includes two displays from Parkour group Team Kinetix.

The event takes place on Sunday, September 5, in Lower Castle Park. Gates open at 10.30am. Entrance costs £3 for adults and £2 for concessions.

All of the money raised will go towards support the charity’s work across Essex.
