REPAIR works are set to force a three-day road closure in Colchester.

Bergholt Road is shutting from its junction with Fernlea to the North Station roundabout.

The closure, which could cause delays, will start on August 4 while carriageway investigation and repair works are carried out by Essex County Council.

Dugard Avenue is shutting from its junctions with Straight Road and Oaklands Avenue, for three days from August 3.

It is because of carriageway patching works.* A road in Frinton is also closing for three days, from August 3.

Fifth Avenue is shutting from its junctions with Ferndown Road and Upper Second Avenue, while footway repair works are carried out by Essex County Council.

* Openreach is carrying out pole testing works in Fingringhoe Road, Rowhedge.

It means the road will close for a day on August 6.

* Look out for a road closure in Birch.

Lower Road is shutting from its junctions with Maldon Road and School Road, for three days from August 3.

It is because of carriageway patching works but an alternative route is available via Maldon Road and Orpens Hill.

* Morant Road, in Colchester, is closing from its junctions with Wimpole Road and Kimberley Road, for three days from August 2.

It is because of carriageway investigation and repair works but an alternative route is available via Wimpole Road, Harsnett Road and Kimberley Road.* Openreach is carrying out work in Peldon Road, in Abberton/Peldon.

It means the road will close for a day on August 2.

* Network Rail is carrying out level crossing inspection work in Great Bentley.

Plough Road will shut from its junction with Morella Close for one night on August 7, from 11.50pm until 6.50am.

* The one-way restriction in Salisbury Avenue, Colchester, is being temporarily suspended for ten nights from August 10.

The restriction will not apply from 8pm until 6am, while machine surfacing work is carried out by Essex County Council.

* Drivers should be aware of a road closure in Clacton.

Cambridge Road is closing from its junctions with Old Road and Wellesley Road, for four days from July 20.

It is because of carriageway patching works.
