PLANS have been revealed for a new tenant to move in to the former Topshop unit in Colchester.
Colchester's Topshop store closed earlier this year after Asos confirmed a £265 million takeover of four Arcadia brands - Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT.
The news was another big blow for Colchester town centre and followed hot on the heels of the announcement department shop Debenhams, in Culver Street West, would also close.
But now a planning application has been submitted for minor changes to the unit, in Lion Walk Shopping Centre, to allow a new tenant to move in.

Simon Moore said: "Lidl. Or Aldi. That would be great and we all need some more of them."
There are two Lidls, with a third on the way, and three Aldis, already in the town.
Josh Gregoire said: "Could do with another Subway, not many around Colchester."
There are six of the sandwich stores in the town - and one more coming to the new Lidl site as well.
