ALL of Colchester is now almost "Covid free", according to the latest Government hotspots map.
The map shops all areas of Colchester recorded less than three cases of coronavirus in the week to May 25.
It is the first time this has happened since before the beginning of December 2020.
When there is less than three cases in any neighbourhood on the hotspots map, the virus is classed a "suppressed" in these areas.
According to the latest Government data, the average infection rate in Colchester during the week to May 25 was just 2.6 cases per 100,000 people.
There were just five cases of Covid confirmed in the borough during this week.

The average infection rate in Tendring during this week was 5.5 cases per 100,000 people.
There were eight cases of Covid recorded during the seven day period.
