Archive includes 1980s picture of Grammar School cricketers

First we brought you a feast of pictures from the 1990s.

Then we followed it up by heading a little further back in time, to the 70s and 80s.

Today we can share another handful of pictures from our archive photo vault.

They all show local, grassroots sports teams doing what they do best, having fun and proudly representing their club or league.

One is of Clacton Hockey Club, one of Paxmans Netball Club, in 1980, and another of the Colchester Piscatorial Society - a family angling club established in 1924.

We've also got two more football pictures from yesteryear - one of Kelvedon FC and one of Little Oakley - and an image of the Colchester Royal Grammar School cricket team in 1984.
