POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash which saw someone rushed to hospital.

Officers were called at around 1.30pm on Monday, May 17 to reports of a two-vehicle collision.

The incident took place on the roundabout between the A1017 and the B1057 Bumpstead Road between, Steeple Bumpstead, Sturmer and Haverhill.

The crash involved a blue BMW 320 and grey Ford Kuga.

Police say one of the drivers was taken to hospital following the crash.

Now police are trying to find out how the cars collided and are appealing for witnesses.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said: "The driver of the Ford Kuga was taken by ambulance to Royal Papworth Hospital and the driver of the BMW was treated at scene and then went home.

"Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of the vehicles.

"Any witnesses, or anyone driving along the road immediately prior to the collision with a dash-cam should contact PC 1880 Kelly from Bury St Edmunds Roads and Armed Policing Team, quoting CAD reference 149 of 17 May 2021."
