A COLCHESTER pianist is due to release his second album following the success of his debut record.
Daniel Johnson's follow up album Rainfall is being released both digitally and in CD format on Friday, May 28.
The follow up is another self-penned release featuring ten remarkable tracks, inspired by a multitude of genres.
Faith, his first album, achieved radio play across the UK on specialist classical programmes.
With radio playlisting already lined up for Rainfall, Daniel is excited about releasing his follow up and letting his followers hear his - what has been described as heartbreaking - new music.
He has composed, performed, mixed and mastered, and designed both albums.
He will perform for Chapel Arts in Cheltenham and, more locally, in Tiptree, later this year.
He said: "I will be performing a complete programme of my own music for time, which is unbelievably exciting."
Daniel has entertained and delighted audiences around the globe performing as a guest classical soloist for the world’s most prestigious cruise lines, as well as across the UK.
In addition to performing and composing, Daniel is the classical artistic associate at Harwich Festival of the Arts, helping to bring classical music to local area.
In 2020, he assisted in delivering a highly successful digital version of the festival and is currently helping to bring live events back to Harwich in 2021.
Daniel added: "I can’t wait to perform again and to meet and greet audiences."
