A teenager has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a pedestrian in Essex.
Fifty-year-old Neil Darnell died after he was hit by a car in Farm Hill Road, Waltham Abbey, in April.
A 17-year-old boy from the Cheshunt area was arrested in Harlow on Saturday.
Police say he has now been charged with murder and is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 10 May).
A police spokesman said: "We are continuing our investigation into the circumstances behind the collision and thank witnesses who have helped with our enquiries.
"Anyone who has yet to speak to our detectives and has any information or footage, is asked to contact the Major Crime Team."
