Police have cordoned off a large section of a residential area following a suspected murder. 

Multiple police cars and officers are at the scene in Iris Mews, Laindon, this afternoon (Monday, May 3) after a man was fatally stabbed. 

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to get in touch as they launch an investigation.

A force spokesman has warned residents in the area to expect to see large numbers of officers and forensic experts throughout the day. 

Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody for questioning.

Police say the victim - a man in his 30s - was attacked around 9.30pm last night.
