Three men who were arrested in connection with an attempted murder investigation have been released on bail.
The trio were arrested after a disturbance in Colchester in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police received reports of a disturbance in Gantry Close, shortly after 12.45am on Saturday morning and officers found a man had been stabbed.
The victim had suffered a number of injuries which required hospital treatment. Thankfully, they are not considered to be life-threatening.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “As our enquiries continued, it became clear two other people, a man and a woman, had suffered minor injuries during the incident.
“A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, GBH, possession of cannabis and criminal damage.
“A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH.
“A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and possession of cannabis.
“They have all been released on bail until May 27.”
