A WORLD food restaurant has announced when it will be opening its doors to the public, and given residents a sneak peak inside the premises.

Zhoosh World Food, in Lightship Way, Colchester, started offering takeaways via app Colchester Eats on Monday.

It has now been announced the restaurant will open its door to indoor diners from Friday, June 4.

Describing itself as "Colchester's first and only world restaurant" the eatery promises to provide "authentic tastes from across the world".

Dishes on the menu are from across the globe including Sri Lanka, Italy, Japan and Morocco.

Ale Rahman, owner of the business, said: "All our food is freshly made, we don't even have a microwave in the kitchen. Our main chef refuses to even allow a microwave.

"The food is from all around the world, fixed menus, not a buffet.

"We do cater for gluten and dairy free and there are lot's of vegan options too.

"Our drinks varieties are immense and we have unique cocktails, mocktails, milkshakes and bubble tea."

The restaurant will be open between 8am to 3pm and 5pm to late every day of the week following June 4.

Takeaway is now available between 5pm and 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 5pm to 11pm Friday and Saturday.
