A MAN in his 60s was arrested after a delivery driver reported being threatened with a gun in Wivenhoe.
Firearms officers were called to Bowes Road at about 4pm on Friday.
Shocked residents spotted the armed officers in the area whilst the police helicopter was also circling above.
After a search of a property nearby, two firearms were located before being seized.
A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "He has been released under investigation while our enquiries continue."

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
