Fire - plumes of smoke rising into the air in Chelmsford
A VEHICLE which burst into flames on a busy road is causing traffic congestion.
Traffic is building up on the A130 in Chelmsford following a vehicle fire in White Hart Lane.
The incident was caught on camera by a passer-by at about 5pm.
Flames as well as huge plumes of thick grey smoke can be seen rising into the air.
A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a car fire in Colchester Road, Boreham today at 5.32pm.
"A crew from Chelmsford attended and extinguished the fire by 6.30pm.
"The cause has been recorded as accidental."
Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service have been contact for comment.
