A COLCHESTER-based estate agency giant is kick-starting a new recruitment programme.

Spicerhaart is one of the UK’s largest independent estate agency group.

Now the company is set to take on 15 new trainee customer service agents at its Colchester headquarters, under the Government’s new Kickstart scheme.

Spicerhaart, which also operates the haart and Chewton Rose estate agencies, has developed a learning programme to help recruits under the age of 25 learn a range of new skills.

Group chief executive Paul Smith said: “We see this is a fantastic opportunity to bring young people into the profession who are motivated, enthusiastic and hungry for success.

“The six-month Government-supported programme will be a stepping stone to further career development and qualifications within the Spicerhaart group.”

The scheme is aimed at young people aged 16 to 24 who are receiving Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment.

The Government says it will pay for 25 hours a week, which will be topped up by Spicerhaart to a full-time salary with commission. For more information or to apply, email kickstart@spicerhaart.co.uk.
