EXPECT delays when a busy town centre road shuts for a day in late-April.
Brightlingsea High Street is closing from its junctions with Sydney Street and Tower Street on April 25.
It is while work is carried out by Cadent, but an alternative route is available via High Street, Sydney Street, Waterside and Tower Street.
* Drivers should be aware of a one-day road closure in Colchester.
Bounstead Road is closing from both junctions with Berechurch Hall Road, on April 19.
It is while underground cable works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Bounstead Road, Bounstead Hill, Abberton Road, Malting Green Road, High Road, Layer Road, Berechurch Hall Road and Berechurch Road.
* Walkers should take note of a footpath closure in Great Bentley.
Footpath eight is shutting from its junction with footpath 20, in a general north-westerly direction for an approximate distance of 365 metres.
The closure is due to start on April 2 and last until July 31, while the construction of site roads are undertaken.
The alternative route will be via footpath 20, Plough Road, Station Road and Birch Avenue.
* Look out for a one-day road closure in Fingringhoe.
Abberton Road will shut from its junction with Dudley Road on April 23.
* Anglian Water are carrying out work in Copford.
It means Rectory Road will shut, near its junction with Boarded Barn Road.
The closure is due to start on April 19 for three days, while new connection works are undertaken.
An alternative route is available via Rectory Road, Copford Green, Birch Road and Boarded Barn Road.
* A village road is closing for nearly a month while duct laying works are carried out by Gigaclear Limited.
Boxted Road/ Queens Head Road, in Great Horkesley, is shutting from its junctions with The Causeway and Redhouse Lane.
The closure is due to start on April 6 for 25 days but an alternative route is available via Queens Head Road, Straight Road, Horkesley Road, Ivy Lodge Road and The Causeway.
* A reminder that part of Chitts Hill, in Colchester, is closing for five days from April 10, while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
* A weight restriction is being lifted in Layer Road, Abberton, near its junction with Bounstead Hill.
The suspension is scheduled to start on March 29 for 12 days,while footbridge works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
* Drivers should make note of an overnight road closure in Severalls Lane, Colchester, near its junction with Langham Lane.
The closure is due to start on March 29 for four nights (8pm until 5am).
It is while structure repair works are undertaken by Highways England.
* Shair Lane, in Great Bentley, is closing for a day - April 7 - near its junction with The Tye Road.
It is while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
