SEVERAL fire crews were called out after a bus was gutted by a raging fire.
Crews from Maldon, Chelmsford and Great Baddow were called to the incident on Friday afternoon (March 19).
While the First Essex bus was destroyed, no one was injured.
Hugh Loy, Operations Manager at First Chelmsford, said:” On Friday last week, one of our buses operating in Danbury village experienced a fire which spread throughout the vehicle.
“The cause is being investigated.
“There were two passengers on board, who along with the driver safely exited the vehicle and moved to a safe distance away from the scene, and no injuries were sustained.
“The fire service attended and extinguished the fire.”
The fire service has been contacted for comment.
