A MAN died after he was hit by a train near Kelvedon Station.
Emergency services were called to the station at 8.10pm on Friday, March 19, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Paramedics treated the man but sadly his death was confirmed at the scene.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police were called to Kelvedon Railway Station at 8.11pm on Friday, March 19 following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
There was disruption on Greater Anglia services on Friday evening due to the incident.
