A mother-of-two has been given an 18-month community order and ordered to do aggression replacement training after admitting assaulting her mother causing her bruising.
Samantha Stephens, 38, of Abdy Avenue, Dovercourt, admitted hitting and kicking her mother on October 10 this year.
Colchester Magistrates Court heard she pulled her mother to the ground.
In mitigation, Lucy Osbourne, said that Stephens had recently been through a divorce and a custody battle for her five-year-old son.
Stephens has offered an apology to her mother, which she has rejected.
